- Solar Car

The Piney Woods Raycers of Gilmer High School were provided the opportunity to learn and develop science, math, engineering and sustainable living skills whereby they designed and built a solar car that competed in the Hunt-Winston Solar Car challenge at the Texas Motor Speedway. Learning the value of teamwork and developing leadership skills proved to be a valuable component of this project.

- Summer Wishes

Stragent Foundation's first project began in June, 2010, in partnership with LeTourneau University providing a summer day camp experience to Gregg County foster children. The project continued in 2011 when Stragent Foundation teamed up with ArtsView children's Theatre to provide children at SeeSaw Children's Place classes in music, art, theatre and dance. The sessions, which allowed children to blossom as they realized their love for the arts, concluded with fabulous showcase performances enjoyed by audiences filled with hearty applause!

- Bill Jennings Park Project

Stragent Foundation participated in Phase 2 of Bill Jennings Park located at SeeSaw Children's Place. The installation of the playground equipment provided much-needed play space for younger children at SeeSaw.

- L.I.S.D. Computer Lab
Computer instruction, care and maintenance were provided along with a bank of new laptops for Longview Independent School District's ACE students. ACE students are elementary students from all campuses across the district who are identified as gifted-talented.

- The Jonathan Project
The Jonathan Project brought a challenging and stimulating challenge to both male and female student athletes from all Longview Independent School District's middle school campuses. In addition to the motivational talk by author David Carr, each student athlete was presented a copy of "Winning Through Mental Toughness."
