About D.O.R.S. Youth Transition Center
D.O.R.S. Youth Transition Center (Developing Opportunities, Realizing Success), is a one-stop shop helping youth ages 15 to 25 who need assistance figuring out the basics and intricacies of adult life. It is a project of the Stragent Foundation.
In partnership with Longview Independent School District's LEAD Academy, D.O.R.S. maximizes services to at-risk and homeless youth. Referrals are accepted from the Department of Family and Protective Services, Juvenile Probation, all school districts, homeless shelters, the juvenile justice system and foster agencies. D.O.R.S. case management approach assists youth in choosing the right "door" for their future.
